11/29/2010 – Part of the Snirt Racing team was in Duluth MN this past weekend for the ISOC National Snocross season opener.
Bruce Jesionowski # 283 had his work cut out for him with 86 riders in the Sport Super Stock class. He got a 9th and 9th in his heat races on Friday, which didn’t qualify him for the LCQ or Main, and he got a 9th and 7th on Saturday, which again didn’t qualify him for the LCQ or Main. Not a bad effort for his first National Race. Bruce says he learned a lot and had a great time, and is ready to step it up for the next race. Hopefully you will see Bruce racing indoors at the Pontiac Silverdome Feb 12th, 2011 (yes I said indoors).
Noah Willbrandt #523 moved up to the Transition 8-12 (Freestyle 300) class this season. He got a 5th and 3rd in his heat races, which pushed him past the LCQ and right into the Main. Noah finished 10th place in his main. A pretty good start to the season for his first ever National Race. Noah has not stopped talking about his 3rd place finish in the 2nd heat race since the team rolled back into town. He is super excited for the next race.
Nicholas Horstman #318 moved up to the 120 Champ class for this season and put his new champ sled to the test. Nicholas finished 7th and 5th in his heat races, which sent him to the main where he finished 11th   for another first time National racer. We see a new belt drive system in the future for his champ sled ! Look for Nicholas at the indoor MI National in the Pontiac Silverdome on Feb 12th, 2011.

A very special thanks to Sponsors CMP Suspensions for the great set-up and all the track support, and to SSI photography for these great photos of the guys. Next stop for the Snirt SnoX team will be the ISOC MI Regional race at the Otsego Club and Resort in Gaylord MI on Dec 18th and 19th. Hope to see everyone there.

11/8/2010 – Noah had a great time signing autographs at the Snow Show Novi MI this past weekend.  The Klim booth was such a big success, he ran out of posters early Saturday afternoon. For those who missed out on one, we are having more printed this week. Just let us know that you would like one and Noah will get it to you.
Thanks to all the Klim folks, Andrew Johnstad, and Gabe Bunke for being so good to Noah. Next stop is the Snocross season opener in Duluth MN for the AMSOIL Duluth National November 26th - 28th , 2010.
Hope to see everyone there.

11/3/10 – Snirt Racing is excited to announce that one of our biggest sponsors, Klim, has asked Noah to participate in the Snowmobile Show at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi Michigan this weekend (11/5 – 11/7).  Noah will be hanging out in their booth representing Klim and “Youth who Embody Excellence “. They have created some posters and Noah will be signing autographs along with USCC Cross Country Pro Class Champion and Multi-Time SOO 500 Winner Gabe “Mr. Iron Man” Bunke, and Professional SnoCross racer, Team Scheuring’s Andrew Johnstad! Stop by the show and say hi to Noah and get your free poster.

11/1/10 – Snirt Racing finished the outdoor Motocross season at the annual Monster Mash @ Baja Acres in Millington MI this past weekend. It was great weather and lots of ghouls and goblins. Noah could not shake the ghost’s crashing out in all 4 Moto’s, surprisingly and thankfully without serious injuries. He lead the hole shot each Moto but finished 8th & 9th for a 7th overall on Saturday, and 9th & 11th for a 10th overall on Sunday. We did have a great evening of trick-or-treating, giant bonfire, music & dancing, and even a little TP’ing ! Thanks to Pat and the entire crew at Baja for a great season and good times.  Time to switch to Snocross – see everyone in Duluth for the season opener.

Noah Willbrandt10/4/2010 - Snirt Racing was in Gaylord Michigan at the beautiful Otsego Club and Resort October 1st thru the 3th for the 2nd annual Great Lakes Grand Prix. The weather was great and the track was amazing. Noah had his best weekend of the season with two 1st place finishes, a 2nd place finish, and a 4th place finish. 35 minute Moto’s made for some grueling racing and a lot of maintenance on the bikes. The 4th place finish was due to Noah’s clutch failing on the last lap of his second Moto on Saturday. Factory Cobra support was there to help us make some serious carb, clutch, and gear changes Saturday night that really helped on Sunday.

Noah Willbrandt

Thanks to Sean Hilbert of Cobra for all his help. Big thanks to Pat of Baja Acres and Jason of Otsego Club for a awesome race weekend, and Matt from SSI for all the photos. Oh, and did I mention the really great trophies for this event. Noah and his 3 logs and 1 plaque J We are so proud of you buddy !

9/27/2010 - Snirt Racing was at Freelin MX this past weekend. The weather was cold and windy, but the track was in great shape. Noah got a 2nd in the first Moto, and a 2nd in the second Moto for a 2nd overall for the day on Saturday. The bike had a slight bog all day, so the wise mechanic changed jetting Saturday night which made for an awful start in the first moto on Sunday. Noah struggled with the bike as it stalled twice and finished 6th. We made drastic changes to the jetting before the second Moto which gave Noah the hole shot and a good lead in the first lap. He then crashed in a corner jump going over the bars. By the time he got back up and got the bike started he was in last place. He fought back to finish 5th for a 5th place overall for the day.
9/7/2010 – Snirt Racing attended the 9th annual Baja Brawl at Baja Acres MX over the long holiday weekend. The weather was so so, but the racing action was intense. It was a new 3 Moto format this year which made for a lot of down time over the course of 4 days, but we got to participate in a lot of the other great activities Baja had at the facility (skateboard bowl, golf cart and sidexside races, pitbike races, wake skate competition, pound jump, 200’ slip-n-slide, live bands and DJ’s each night, huge bon fire). Noah had 3 practice sessions on Friday. In his first Moto on Saturday he finished 15th out of 25. Sunday in Moto 2 he finished 16th. Monday in Moto 3 he finished 16th again for a 16th overall for the weekend. We were definitely hoping for a top 3 finish, but there is always next year. Check out www.bajamx.co for a recap video of all the action. Only two more big MX race weekends left before we switch gears to Snocross.
Let the snow fly J

All of us here at Snirt Racing send our deepest condolences and prayers to Ashlee’s family and closest friends. RIP Ashlee, you will truly be missed by all.

8-11-2010 ~ The World of Motocross Racing and our Michigan family of MX’ers has suffered the loss of a truly spectacular young lady. Nearly a week after a wreck that left her in serious condition, 19-year-old motocross racer and Chesterfield, Michigan resident Ashlee Sokalski has died. She had been racing at the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championships Aug. 5 at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn. when she crashed while completing a jump on the track. She had a series of injuries, including six broken ribs, injuries to her right lung and closed head injuries. Family members chose to take Ashlee off life support Tuesday night after doctors at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. informed them there was nothing else they could do to save her. There has been a website created for Ashlee at www.ashleesokalski316.webs.com or local news report

8/7-8/8 Battle Creek MX – Snirt was in their birth town for racing this weekend. Noah had a horrible morning practice session on Saturday crashing 7 times, with the last crash not being able to finish the session. He regrouped in the trailer and pulled a 1st place finish in Moto #1. He got a 2nd in Moto #2 for a 2nd overall for the day. Sunday Noah went 2nd and 2nd for a 2nd overall again. Looks like he had a few fans in Battle Creek. How did they know he was a little Monster

7/31-8/1 Race Grattan Raceway this weekend. Weather was hot. Noah had mechanical issues the first lap of Moto #1 on Saturday and DNF’d, but came back in the second Moto to get the hole shot and a 6th place finish. Sunday he had  6th and 5th place finishes for a 5th overall.
7/24-7/25 BAJA MX – We opted out of racing Saturday because of the weather. Sunday was much better, but Noah struggled with a huge crash on the hole shot of Moto #1. Lost his boot and his bake brake, but got back up, put his boot on, and finished the race with no back brake for a 14th place finish out of 20. He came back with a 6th place finish in Moto #2 for a 9th overall for the day.
7/17-7/18 Snirt Racing was at Log Road in Coldwater, MI. Noah placed 4th and 3rd for a 3rd overall on Saturday. He stepped it up a little on Sunday with a 4th and 2nd place for a 2nd overall.

7/5/10 – RedBud was amazing again this year. Noah finished 12th out of 30 in the first moto Friday night, but went down hard in the second moto to finish 23rd for a 15th overall that night. He came back Saturday with a 9th place finish in the first moto, and a 11th place finish in the second moto at around 12:30 am (what a long day it was) for a 9th overall for the series. Snirt Racing is very proud of Noah for the top 10 finish this weekend, there was a lot of tough competition at the National level.

6/21/10 – Snirt Racing was in Coldwater Michigan at LogRoad MX this past weekend. Noah again had some mechanical trouble with the bike. Saturday morning during 1st practice his clutch gave out, so he missed the first moto. In the second moto the bike seemed to run good but Noah went down once and placed 6th for a 6th overall. On Sunday he had a good practice session and come out and won the 1st moto by half a lap. But as luck would have it, in the second moto leading by a lap with 2 laps to go Noah’s clutch again gave out. What a heartbreaking weekend it was for all of us.

We purchased two new clutches and have been working all week to fix up the bike for a practice session at Baja MX this Sunday, in preparation for RedBud the 4th of July weekend. Should be a great weekend of racing. Go REEEEDDDDBUUUUDDDDD !

6/14/10 - Noah raced Grattan MX this past weekend. It was a tough start getting back on the bike after a 4 week hiatus and being on a track he never raced before. The bike ran really good, but the track was very moist and rutted out. This track has a couple of really big up hills and down hills and 3 big table tops. Noah continued to improve over the course of the weekend with  7th and 6th for a 7th place overall on Saturday, and 5th and 5th for a 5th place overall on Sunday. Noah should be able to get in some good practice time on Thursday and Friday to prepare for Log Road MX in coldwater MI this weekend. The next race after that will be the week of July 4th for the National at REDBUD!!
5/3/2010 - Noah raced Baja MX this past Saturday only. The bike ran really well, but Noah seemed a little off pace not racing in three weeks. He placed 6th in the first moto and 4th in the second moto for a 6th place overall. The bike is now with our suspension guy getting some much needed TLC to the front forks and rear shock. Our next race will be the Baja Blast on May 29th, 30th, 31st, 2010. This will include the Extremity Games on Friday featuring some of the world’s best Athletes with Disabilities. Will be a great time for all.  Thanks to Chad @ CMPracing.com for all your help last weekend.
Baja Acres, Millington Michigan
Noah had 3 good weekends of MX practice leading up to the season opener at Baja Acres in Millington Michigan last Saturday and Sunday. He had been riding extremely hard and we could tell the snocross season and the work with his trainer made a huge improvement in his MX riding during the practice sessions. But we noticed a huge difference in the bikes performance midway thru the first moto on race day #1. After a 7th place finish in the first moto and a 9th place in the second moto (7th overall for the day) we pulled the bike into the trailer and found compression went from 120 lbs to just over 30 lbs.  Time for a new piston! So Noah raced his old TTR-50 in the 50 Trail class on Sunday getting a 3rd and 5th place finish for a 5th overall for the day. The motor is on the bench and getting some TLC. We will be back in business for this weekend’s practice session and  the next race in Battle Creek Michigan on April 24th & 25th.

Michigan Snow X Racing Association (MSXRA)
Noah Willbrant took a big step this weekend and moved into the 8-12 Transition 300 Freestyle Class at the MSXRA in Gaylord MI.  Being only 7 years old he had to be waived into the class and he placed 2nd in his final against a full class of 12 year olds. We were very proud of him and plan to catch a few more MSXRA races in between his ISOC races (120 class) yet this season.

We are adding a new rider to the team, Bruce Jesionowski.  Check out  his bio and more...

Very Sad Day

The entire world and the family of ISOC / Bay-Racing Michigan Regional SnoX has lost a beautiful person this week. Carrie Hauger, wife to Joe Hauger the Michigan regional 120 class director, mother to Cora, Inanna, Mira, and little Bruyn, passed away Sunday from injuries she sustained in a traffic crash in Kalkaska County Mi while driving home from the Cadillac race track. For any of you that were fortunate enough to know the Hauger’s know what a lovely person she was and what a great family they are. She will be deeply missed by all of us at the track. Our deepest condolences go out to Joe and the kids. I’m sure all of us racer families will do whatever is needed or requested to help out in any way possible during this tragic time. All of our thoughts and prayers here at Snirt Racing and Sled-X.com go out to the Bricker-Hauger families.
